Wa'ez ko weham hai k usi ko Khuda mila,

Hairat hai usne apni paristish he kyun na ki,
Jab admi ko pehle pehal aiyeena mila,

Khursheed-e-zindagi ki tamazat ghazab ki thi,
Tu raah mein mila to shajar ka maza mila,

Dekha jo ghor se to mujassim tujhi mein tha,
Woh husn jo khayal se bhi maw'raa mila,

Seenay mein teri yad k tufaan jab uthay,
Zehan ek bagola bun k sitaron se ja mila,

Mujh se bichar k Yousaf be-karwaan hai to,
Mujh ko to,khair dard mila, tujh ko kya mila?

Din bhar jalaiyin main ne umeedon ki masha'lein,
Jab raat aye ghar ka diya tak bujha mila,

Ya-Rab yeh kisne tukray kiye mehshar k,
Mujh ko to gaam gaam pay mehshar bapa mila,

Dasht-e-firaq mein woh baseerat mili Nadeem,
Jo mujh se chinn gya tha,wohi ja-baja mila,
