Kis kis ko batatey behtey ashkon ka sabab
Kay derd-e-dil dil main kis nay jagaya

Mehfilon main kahin bhi maza na raha
Rakha dil pay pather to khud ko sajaya

Baat bay baat apni aahain daba ker
Yaron kay dermiyan kis qadar muskuraya

Na thi chah kabhi mujahy mankashi ki
Jaam-e-wafa kisi bay wafa nay pilaya

Kya muqadar say shikwa kertey rahain
Jo qismat main tha wohi kuch to paaya

Yeh kis mor pay aagaee hain umeedain
Kay saaya-e-manzil nazar main na aaya

Apnoon nay palat kay daykha tak nahin
Ghairon nay aaker galay say lagaaya

Acha hua kay raaz khul hi gaya
Dil-e-nadaan pay khanjar kis nay chalaya
