Dil ko begana-e-targeeb-o-tamana kar lon
Sochta hon ke muhabbat hai junoon-e-rusava
Chund bekaar se behooda khayaalon ka hajoom
Ek aazaad ko paaband banaane ki havas
Ek begaane ko apnaane ki sai-e-mauhoom
Sochta hon ke muhabbat hai suroor-e-masti
Is ki tanveer mein roshan hai fazaa-e-hasti
Sochta hon ke muhabbat hai bashar ki fitrat
Is ka mit jana, mitaa dena bohot mushkil hai
Sochta hon ke muhabbat se hai taabinda hayat
Aap ye shama bujha dena bohat mushkil hai
Sochta hon ke muhabbat pe kadi shartein hain
Ik tamaddun mein musarrat pe badi shartien hain
Sochta hon ki muhabbat hai ik afsurda si laash
Chaadar-e-izzat-o-naamoos mein kafnaai hui
Daur-e-sarmaya ki raundi hui rusva hasti
Dargah-e-mazahab-o-ikhlaaq se thukrai hui
Sochta hon ke bashar aur muhabbat ka junoon
Aisi bosida tamaddun se hai ik kaar-e-zaboon
Sochta hon ke muhabbat na bachay gi zinda
Pesh-az-waqt ki sarh jaaye ye galti hui laash
Ye he behtar hai ki begana-e-ulfat hokar
Apne seene mein karoon jazb-e-nafrat ki talaash
Aur sauda-e-muhabbat se kinara kar lon
Dil ko begana-e-targeeb-o-tamana kar lon.
