vo haadisaa vo pahlii mulaaqat kyaa kahuuN
kitnii ajab thii suurat-e-haal kyaa kahuuN
vo qah池, vo Ghazab, vo jafaa mujh ko yaad hai
vo uskii be-ruKhii ki adaa mujh ko yaad hai
miTtaa nahiiN hai zeh地 pe yuuN chhaa gayaa ko段i

pehle mujhe vo dekh ke barham si ho gayii
phir apne hi hasiiN khayaaloN meN kho gayii
bechaargii pe meri use rah知 aa gayaa
shaayed mere taRapne kaa andaaz bhaa gayaa
saansoN se bhii qariib mere, aa gayaa ko段i


ab us dil-e-tabaah ki haalat na puuchhiye
be-naam aarzuu ki wo lazzat na puuchhiye
ek ajnabii thaa, ruuh kaa armaan ban gayaa
ek haadisaa thaa, pyaar kaa unvaan ban gayaa
manzil kaa raastaa mujhe dikhlaa gayaa ko段i
