dil kaa vo haal huaa ai Gam-e-dauraa.N ke tale
jaise ik laash chaTTaano.n me.n dabaa dii jaaye

ham ne insaano.n ke dukh dard kaa hal Dhuu.NDh liyaa
kyaa buraa hai jo ye afvaa u.Daa dii jaaye

ham ko guzarii hu_ii sadiyaa.N to na pahachaane.ngii
aane vaale kisii lamhe ko sadaa dii jaaye

phuul ban jaatii hai.n dahake hue sholo.n kii lave.n
shart ye hai ke unhe.n Khuub havaa dii jaaye

kam nahii.n nashe me.n jaa.De kii gulaabii raate.n
aur agar terii javaanii bhii milaa dii jaaye

ham se puuchho Gazal kyaa hai Gazal kaa fan kyaa hai
chand lafzo.n me.n ko_ii aah chhupaa dii jaaye
