mere maazii ko aNdhere men dabaa rahane do
meraa maazii merii zillat ke sivaa kuchh bhii nahiin
merii ummiidon kaa haasil merii kaavish kaa silaa
ek benaam aziiyat ke sivaa kuchh bhii nahiin

kitanii bekaar ummiidon kaa sahaaraa lekar
main ne aiwaan sajaaye they kisii kii Khaatir
kitanii berabt tamannaaon ke maabham Khaake
apane Khwaabon men basaaye the kisii kii Khaatir

mujhase ab merii mohabbat ke fasaane na puuchho
mujhako kahane do ke main ne unhen chaahaa hii nahiin
aur vo mast nigaahen jo mujhe bhuul gaiin
main ne un mast nigaahon ko saraahaa hii nahiin

mujhako kahane do ki main aaj bhii jii sakataa huuN
ishq naakaam sahii zindagii naakaam nahiin
unako apanaane kii Khvaahish unhen paane kii talab
shauq bekaar sahii sai-Gam anjaam nahiin
