Aakhri ayyaam mein saarey hisaab likhoon ga
Mein bhi aik din kitaab-e-hayaat likhoon ga

Kahin khushi ka tazkara, kahin dukhoon ki dastaan
Kitaab-e-zeest kay mei sarey hi baab likhoon ga

Kis tarha ham par shabaab aayaa tha
Kis tarha dhal gaya yeh aaftaab, likhoon ga

Terey hissey ki saari taabeerein
Apney ujrey jo khuab, likhoon ga

Dil kay har zakhm ko kuredoon ga
Chahatoon kay azaab likhoon ga

Terey faraaq mein jo mehw-e-khayaal guzrey hein
Woh aankhoon mein sajey saarey saraab likhoon ga

Jo baarha tashnagi barhaatey rahey
Woh mosamoon kay ataab likhoon ga

Haqeeqatoon sey mera waasta nahi...
Lagta hai saarey wehem-o-khuab likhoon ga
