Khushi mili to hans na sake,
gam mile to ro na sake.
zindagi ka yahi hai dastur,
jise chaha use pa na sake aur jise paya use chah na sake.


Yaad karne ke liye koi cheez chaiye,
aap nahi to aapki tasveer chaiye.
par tasvir aapki hamara dil behla na sakegi,
kyonki yeh aapki tarah muskura na sakegi


Kanto ko khilna sikhaya nahi jata,
phoolo ko girna sikhaya nahi jata.
kab koi ban jata hai apna,
kisi ko chahkar apna banaya nahi jata.

dil ka rishta hai hamara,
dil ke kone mein hai naam tumhara.
har yaad mein hai chehra tumhara,
saath nahi to kya hua,
zindagi bhar dosti nibhane ka wada hai hamara.

deewane hai tere naam ke is baat se inkar nahi,
kaise kahe hume aapse pyar nahi.
kuch to kasoor hai aapki adaaon ka,
hum akele to gunehgar nahi.

tumhaare pyaar ke diipak jalaake rotaa huu.N
tumhaare aane kii jab aas jaane lagatii hai
mai.n in chiraaGo.n ko Khud hii bujhaa ke rotaa huu.N
zindagii aisii miTaa jao bahut tanahaa huu.N

sochate sochate jab soch bhii mar jaatii hai
vaqt ke qadamo.n kii aahaT ko sunaa karataa huu.N
ashk thamate hai.n to aaho.n kaa dhuaa.N uThataa hai
raat bhar yuu.N hii ta.Dapataa huu.N jalaa karataa huu.N
baar-e-Gam kuchh to ghaTaa jaao bahut tanahaa huu.N
