Yehan her khuaab say pehlay he neendain chonk uthti hain
Baharain yoon guzarti hain ke jaisay waqt say un ki koi azli adaawat ho
Koi baadal nahin rukta hawa'ain bay-murawwat hain
Hueen sadyaan ke aankhon main koi sooraj nahin chamka
Koi shabnam nahin utree koi moti nahin damka
Chalo yeh to humaree kum-nigaahi ki sazaa thehri
Magar hum khuwaab na daikhain to neendain bay-samar apni
Sama'at bay-khabar apni sazaa na-mutabar apni
Zameen-zaaday chalo baatain karain shehr-e-tamanna ki
Yeh baatain jo sulagtee hain magar kirnain nahin banteen
Inhain roshan agar kar paao to kitnay sakhee thehro
Magar kya kar sako gay tum? Magar kya kar sakain gay hum
Keh hum is shehr main bay-khuwaab raaton kay hawaalay hain
Zameen-zaaday zameen pay basnay waalay thaknay waalay hain
