Ek masoom si mohabbat ka itna hi fasana hai,
ek kagaz ki haveli aur baarish ka zamana hai

uff ye kya sharte mohabbat kya shart-e-zamana hai
aawaz bhi zakhmi aur vo geet bhi gaana hai.

us paar utarne ki umeed bahut hi kum hai
kashti bhi purani aur toofan ko bhi aana hai

koi samjhe ya na samjhe ye raze mohabbat
kisi shaks ko ankho se ye sher sunana hai

ek bholi si ada, aaj koi fir ishq ki zid par hai
fir aag ka dariya hai, aur fir doob ke jaana hai
