kabhii apne hii dil se baateN kiiN, kabhii terii yaad ko samjhaayaa

yuuNhii vaqt gaNvaaya motii saa, yuuNhii umr gaNvaayii sone sii,
sach kehte ho tum bhii ham suKhanoN, is ishq meiN ham ne kyaa paayaa?

jab pehl-e-pehl tujhe dekhaa thaa, dil kitne zor se dhaRkaa thaa
vo lehr na dil meiN phir jaagii, voh vaqt na lauT ke phir aayaa

phir aaj tire darvaaze par, baRii der ke baad gayaa thaa magar,
ek baat achaanak yaad aayii, maiN baahar hii se lauT aaya
