usi rastay usi manzil ki jaanib
jahan se safar ki ibtidaa ki thi
jahan sab kuch apna tha
jahan sapnoon ki dunya thi
jahan tum thay, main thi, aur khuwaab thay
jahan zindagi thi na ye wehshatoo'n k azaab thay
sunehri dhoop, baadaloo'n ki o'ut, aur phoolon ki khushbu
jahan bhar ka hus'n khud mein sametay
hum kitnay khush thay.
na ye bekali thi, na undeshay, na saraab koi
tou phir aao na! chalo na !
chalo na! ab lout chaltay hain
keh ab thak chuki her aankh rasta dekhtay
keh ab tou waqt ki her saans hum per aansoo baha chuki
dekho na! sono na !
mein ab bhi waapsi ki aik kashti nazar mein rahk aayi hon
mujhe maaloom hai ye safar khoobsoorat sahi
magr ye khushi, ye sokoon, ye chahat,
mustaqil nahi
k aik din aye ga ..
jub tum bhi thak jao gay
kaho gay mujhe yahi sab
sono gay aik na meri
tumain bhi waqt ki aawaaz sunayi de gi
kaho gay mujh se yehi sab
chalo na! chalo na !
ab lout chaltay hain ...
