tamaam umr vafaa ke gunaah-gaar rahe
ye aur baat ki ham aadamii to achchhe the

shab-e-Khaamosh ko tanhaaii ne zabaaN de dii
pahaaD guuNjate the dasht san-sanaate the


vo ek baar mare jin ko thaa hayaat se pyaar
jo zindagii se gurezaaN the roz marate the


naye Khayaal ab aate hain Dhal ke zahan mein
hamaare dil mein kabhii khet lah-lahaate the


ye iratiqaa kaa chalan hai ki har zamaane mein
puraane log naye aadamii se Darate the


'Nadeem' jo bhii mulaaqaat thii adhuurii thii
ki ek chehare ke piichhe hazaar chehare the
