جب تیرا درد میرے ساتھ وفا کرتا ہے
ایک سمندر میری آنکھوں سے بہا کرتا ہے

اس کی باتیں مجھے خوشبو کی طرح لگتی ہیں
پھول جیسے کوئی صحرا میں کھلا کرتا ہے

میرے دوست کی پہچان یہی کافی ہے
وہ ہر شخص کو دانستہ خفا کرتا ہے

اور تو سبب اس کی محبت کا نہیں
بات اتنی ہے وہ مجھ سے جفا کرتا ہے

جب خزاں آئی تو لوٹ آئے گا وہ بھی فراز
وہ بہاروں میں ذرا کم ہی ملا کرتا ہے
