Naaz-e-begaangi mein kya kuch tha
husn ki saadgi mein kya kuch tha

laakh raahein thi laakh jalve thhey
ahad-e-aawargi mein kya kuch tha

aankh khulte hi chhup gayee har shay
aalam-e-bekhudi mein kya kuch tha

yaad hain marhale mohabbat ke
haay uss bekali mein kya kuch tha

kitne beete dinon ki yaad aayee
aaj teri kami mein kya kuch tha

kitne manoos log yaad aaye
subah ki chaandni mein kya kuch tha

raat bhar hum so na sake 'nasir'
parda-e-khamoshi mein kya kuch tha.
