k zard patton ne aandhion se.
ajab qissa sun lia tha.

k jis ko sun ker tumam pattay.
sisik rahey thay.

janey kis sanehay k ghumm men.
shajjar jaroun se ukhar chukay thay.

bahut tlasha tha hum ne tum ko.
har ek raasta, har ek waadi, har ek parbat, har ek ghaati.

magar kaheen se teree khabbar na aayee.
to yeh kahe k hum ne apne dil ko taala.

hawa thamay gee to dekh len ge.
magar hamari yeh khush khiyali.

jo hum ko barbaad kar gai thee.
hawa thami thee zroor lakin.

bari hee muddat guzzer chukki thee.
hamarey baalon k janglon men.

sufed chaandi utter chukki thee.
flaq pe taarey nahi rahey thay.

gullab piyarey nahi rahey thay.
woh jin se basti thee dil ki basti.

woh log saarey nahi rahey thay.
magar yeh almiya sab se balaa tr tha.

k hum tumhaarey nahi rahey thay.
k tum hamarey nahi rahey thay.

hawa thami thee zroor lakin.!!!
