doobnay waley ko tinkay ka sahara hay bohat,

dagmagati hui kashti teray sahil se lagay,
main musafir hoon, mujhay tera kinara hy bohat,

mujh ko phoolon ki khwahish, na he kaliyon ki talab,
tery koochay ka mujhay, aik angara hay bohat,

qattal kernay k liyay itna takalluf kia hay?
bas teri aankh k abroo ka "ishara" hay bohat,

naz-o-andaz dikhanay ki zaroorat kia hay?
mujh se pagal k liyay, piyar ka chara hay bohat,

kon jaey, koh-e-toor pe jalwa dekhay?
meray mehboob, mujhay, tera nazara hay bohat,

bas teri deed ko zinda hoon faqat main Maroof,
main ne her saans tera naam pukara hay bohat,
