Saqi ik nazar, jaam se pehly pehly,
Mujh ko jana hy kaheen, sham se pehly pehly,

Khush ho ey dil k muhabbat to nahi ki tu ne,
Log ujar jaty hain, anjam se pehly pehly,

Ab tere zikr pe ham baat badal dety hain,
Kitni ulfat thi tere naam se, pehly pehly,

Samney umr pari hy shab-e-tanhai ki,
Wo mujhy chor gaya, sham se pehly pehly,

Kitna acha tha, kabhi ham bhi jiya kerty thay?
Ghair Maroof se, gumnaam se, pehly pehly.
