Zamanay bhar ki nighoon main jo khuda sa lagay
woh ajnabi hai magar mujh ko ashna sa lagay

na janay kab meri duniya main muskaray ga
woh ek shakhs keh khaboon main bhi khafa sa lagay

ajeeb cheez hai yaroon ya manziloon ki havis
keh rahzan bhi musafir ko rahnuma sa lagay

dil tabah! tara mashwara hai kaya keh mujhay
woh phool rang sitara bhi b-e-wafa sa lagay

hui hai jis sa munawar har ek ankh ki jheel
woh chand aj bhi mohsin ko kum numa sa lagay
