Dasht-e-darya ye us paar kahan tak jati?
ghar ki deewar thi, deewar kahan tak jati?

mit gayi hasrat-e-dedar bhi rafta rafta,
Hijr mein hasrat-e-deedar kahan tak jati?

thak gaye hont tera naam bhi lete lete,
ek hi lafz ki takraar kahan tak jati?

tu bohat door, bohat door gaya tha mujh se,
meri awaz meray yaar kahan tak jati?

har taraf husn k bazaar lagay thay Mohsin,
ye meri chashm-e-kharidaar kahan tak jati?
