Tum aaey na koi khat likhha
Poora b kiya na waada koi

Sab waaday, beeti raatein bani
sab qasmein, jhooti batein bani

Ab yad dilaey kaun tumhein ?
yeh saal bhi aakhir beet gaya

ab apna bhi koi dosh nahi
yeh bazi bhi jag jeet gaya

wo sard hawaein ab bhi hein
rangeen fizaein ab bhi hein

wo bheegay bheegay pani ki
purshor sadayen ab bhi hein

main ab bhi udher ko jata hoon
aur apna dil sulgata hoon

jab tum nahi hotay sath meray
hotay hein khali hath meray

purshor sadayein poochhti hein
wo sard hawaein poochhti hein

wo kahan gaya sathi tera ?
kia phir yeh zamana jeet gaya?
