ye rang e wafa mujh mn bhar do
ya khud tum bhi rang ho jao
jeewan k aisay lamhon mn
jab hathon mn na hath rhay
meri khwahish hy aisay mn bhi
meri yad tumharayu sath rhay
tum kbhi jo mujh ko yad kro
mujhay yad kro tum aisay sy
jesay shaer apni pehli nazam
jesay baali apna pehla balam
jesay daasi apna pehla janam
ya phir tum aisay yad rkho:
jesay maan apnay us bachay ko
jis ke ankhon ka roshan diya
bosay sy pehlay bujh jaye
jesay iklota bhae apnay
baap ke girti palkon ko
un jalti bhujti khwahishon ko
aur us ke akhri lafzon ko
tum kbhi jo mujh ko yad kro
mujhay yad kro tum aisay sy
jesay hijr ka mara ik aashiq
jo wasal ke shab ko yad kray
jesay lut'ta lutata ik taajir
bs maal o mata ke bat kray
jesay shaaer apni pehli nazam............
