Default سوگ میں لپٹا میرا شہر
سوگ میں لپٹا میرا شہر

ڈر ڈر کے سانس لیتا ہے

کالی چادر جو ایک ہی اوڑھنی رہ گئی تھی

وہ بھی تار تار ہو چکی

در و دیوار سے خوف جھانکتا رہتا ہے

لوگ سہمے ہوئے

ایک دوسرے سے نظریں چراتے ہیں

اپنی پہچان چھپانے کے لیے

گلے سے نکلتے الفاظ بھی نگل لیتے ہیں

روز کا اخبار خون سے لت پت

اور ٹی وی صبح سے رات تک بھونکتا رہتا ہے

قائدینِ شہر آگ اگلتے ہیں

اور اپنے آپ کو امن کا پیامبر کہتے ہیں

عجب رسم ہے میرے شہر کی

پرامن سوگ منانے کی

مبارکباد بھی وصول کرنی پڑتی ہے

شہر کے ایک حصے میں

امن کی ریلی نکلتی ہے

اور دوسرے حصے میں

لاشیں گرتی ہیں

اور دوسرے دن کے اخبار میں

دونوں کی تصاویر ساتھ ساتھ چھپتی ہیں

اور پھر شہر کو امن ریلی نکالنے کی

مبارکباد بھی وصول کرنی پڑتی ہے

کامیاب ہڑتال

کامیاب ریلی

کامیاب سوگ

مبارک ہو شہر کو
