Default Ek dharka hai k khoon sard kiye rakhta hai.
Na koi ehed, na paimaan,
na wada aisa,
na tera husn hi aisa koi angasht tarash,
na mere haath mein Taseer-e-Zulekhai,
raqs gehre ye jahan aur na mein cinderella hoon,
na tu shehzada hai,
hum to bus ramz-e-hasti mein,
do mubarzadal hein,
jis qadar meri qana'at mein hai,
itni teri fayazi mein,
mein teri chhaoon mein parwaan charhoon,
apni aankhon pe tere haath ka saaya kar k,
tere ham'rah mein sooraj ki tamazat dekhoon,
is se aagay nahin socha dil ne,
phir bhi ahwaal ye hai,
ek bharosa hai k dil sabz kiye rakhta hai,
ek dharka hai k khoon sard kiye rakhta hai.
