meri daastaN kaa uruuj thaa terii narm palakon kii chaanvo main
mere saath thaa tujhe jaaganaa terii aaNkh kaise jhapak gai

kabhii ham mile to bhii kyaa mile vahii duuriyaaN vahii faasale
na kabhii hamaare qadam Barhey na kabhii tumhaarii jhijhak gai

tujhe bhuul jaane kii koshishain kabhii kaamayaab na ho sakiin
terii yaad shaaKh-e-gulaab hai jo havaa chalii to lachak gai
