Meri chahat tha wo,meri anaa bhi tha,
Mere khamosh lehjon ki wo eik sadaa bhi tha,
Rehta tha subha-o-sham wo mere wajood mein,
Meri awaz,mera lehja,wo meri ada bhi tha,
Deta tha mujh ko zakhm wo be-hisab magr,,
Hamdard bhi tha mera,wo meri wafa bhi tha,
Ab us k zikar pe aksar mein khamosh rehta hun,,
Kabhi meri mohabbat ki wo inteha bhi tha,
Ajab kash-ma-kash thi meri zindagi mein,
Poojna usay bhi tha aur dil mein KHUDA bhi tha
