Jaane kab pi thi abhi tak hai may-e-gham ka khumaar
Dhundlaa dhundlaa sa nazar aata hai jahan-e-bedaar
Aandhiyan chalti hain dunya hui jati hai ghubaar
Aankh to mal loon zara hosh mein aa loon to chaloon

Wo mera saahir vo ejaaz kahan hai lana
Meri khoi hui aavaaz kahan hai lana
Mera toota hua vo saaz kahan hai lana
Ik zara geet bhi is saaz pe gaa loon to chaloon

Main thaka haraa tha itne mein jo aaye badal
Kisi matvaale ne chupke se badhaa di botal
Uff vo rangeen pur-israar Khayaalon ke mahal
Aise do char mahal aur bana loon to chaloon

Mughse kuch kehne ko ai hai mere dil ki jalan
kya kia maine zamane mai nahi jis ka chalan
Anso tum ne to baar bhigoya daman
Apne bheege how daman ko sokhalon to chaloon

Meri aankhon mein abhi tak hai muhabbat ka ghuroor
Mere honton ko abhi tak hai sadaaqat ka ghuroor
Mere maathe pe abhi tak hai sharaafat ka ghuroor
Aise vehmon se bhi ab Khud ko nikaloon to chaloon
