main kisii ke dast-e-talab mein huun, toh kisii ke harf-e-duaa mein huun
main nasiib huun kisii aur kaa, mujhe maangtaa koii aur hai

kabhii laut aayein toh na puchhnaa, sirf dekhanaa barre ghaur se
jinhein raaste mein Khabar huii ki ye raastaa koii aur hai

ajab aitabaar-ba-aitabaarii ke darmiyaan hai zindagii
main qariib huun kisii aur ke, mujhe jaantaa koii aur hai

wahii munsifoon kii rivaayatein, wahii faisaloon kii ibaaratein
meraa jurm to koii aur thaa, par merii sazaa koii aur hai

terii roshanii mere khaddo-khaal se mukhtalif to nahiin magar
tuu qariib aa tujhe dekh luun, tuu wahii hai yaa koii aur hai

jo merii rayaazat-e-niim_shab ko "Saleem" subah na mil sakii
toh phir is kii maanii to ye hue, ke yahaan khudaa koii aur hai
