Meri zindagi ke nisaab main koee aur baab raqam karo
bari pur sukoon hai zindagi koee ham pe taza sitam karo

yunhi tak rahay ho kharay kharay ya hamari zeest ko chheen lo
ya ata karo hamain zindagi ary kuchh to meray sanam karo

ye khayal shah-e-watan ka hai, hamain ik suroor sa chahiye
jo naheen hain saghar-o-jam yahan, chalo sar kisi ka qalam karo

meray aansuon ki jhari lagay meray dil ki aag bharak uthay
koee baat ho shab-e-hijr ki, koee zikr-e-subh-e-alam karo

main talab karoon ga khuda se jo, mujhay mil hi jaaey ga naseho
mujhay tum se kuchh bhi na chahiye, koee mujh pe tum na karam karo

main chaloon to kya na chaloon to kya, mera azm itna buland hai
mujhay mil hi jaaen gi manzilain, karo qaid maray qadam karo
