Essay Contests | Request for New Section

Dear Moderators,

I was thinking lately about a Section in this forum solely dedicated to Essay Competitions as I have seen a number of persons wanting their essays to be read and given opinion about.

You may name it 'Essay Contests'. Whether weekly, monthly, or bimonthly, we can carry out essay contests and award a newly created medal (you may name it anything you like) to the winners.

Not only would it be a healthy competition but also a useful exercize to demonstrate one's writing skills in front of well-qualified judges. The team of judges may be selected by the moderators on the basis of qualifications and notable presence in this forum.

I m in favor of that. I think, being a junior member and an aspirant, this would help me improve my skills and tell me where I stand

that's a nice idea. iam in favour of it too. quiz contests are welcomed for praise, general knowledge and pak affairs too.

As far as management is concerned, we don't have any such plans.
Almost 2 years ago Essay competition was conducted by the management.
Mumtaz Hayat Maneka and AFRMS were the judges.
Participation was disappointing for management and judges.
Making another section for Essay competition does not worth it.
Current section of Essay is enough.

What were the prizes to attract at that time, for the winners?
