Hi Aakash! I will try to answer you. Please ask if you want to know some thing more:
1) PAF announces these once or twice a year.
2) These are related to different departments:
*Engineering
*Education
*Medical (General)
*Medical (Specialists)
3) Eligibility criteria for these is Bachelors for Engineering, Masters for Education, MBBS for Medical (General), & MBBS & further Specialization for Medical (Specialists).
4) Criteria for selection is as normal as it is for regular commission. Just there are general relaxations but not very much.
5) Recruiting process includes these:
*Registration
*Intelligence & Academic Tests
*Initial Medica
*Initial Interview
*Psychological Tests
*Interview by Air HQ Special Board
*Final Medical at CMB (Masroor Air Base) Karachi.

Yes off course Ambreen. I know of a few people who got not recommended in their first ISSB but got recommended in the second one. You just have to try harder and show them that you really want to join the forces.

W.r.t. joining the PAF. Well, the General Duties Pilot or GD(P) is the best branch of the PAF and if you want to join the PAF, go for GD(P) and not any other SSC, etc. provided that you fall in the age group bracket of the GD(P).

This is very common & easy for a person to get through the ISSB second time & there are many examples regarding this. Because a person going for ISSB second time knows all the procedures & have a clear idea.

Infact the procedure is simple as I have described above.

Quote:
5) Recruiting process includes these:
*Registration
-Registration is done at PAF Information & Selection Centre.
Quote:
*Intelligence & Academic Tests
-Intelligence Test is done first. This test is so simple and anyone can go through the test easily. Just you need to have a bit logical. Little practice can make you go through easily.
You are eligible for Academic test once you have cleared Intelligence Test. It is little difficult as English vocabulary must be there. Analytical ability needs to be practiced & Mathematics is also required. But it is also not very difficult.
Quote:
*Initial Medical
-Initially Medical is done. Needs to be checked physically completely. Not very tough.
Quote:
*Initial Interview
-Just a formality. Everyone clearing medical qualified for ISSB type detailed forms to be submitted in a day or two.
Please note there is no ISSB tests in PAF SPSSC.
Quote:
*Psychological Tests
-There are psychological tests exactly similar to CSS psychological tests. Nothing more than that. This includes sentence making (Urdu & English), Sentence Completion (Urdu & English), Complete Bio data forms, Story Writing (Urdu & English) etc.
Quote:
*Interview by Air HQ Special Board
-Once who qualified psychological tests & clears it, receives a call for an interview. Interview is done by special AHQ selection Board. This interview panel consists of subject specialist, Psychologist, Mathematician (Not necessarily) & chief of that board.
This interview is done in different ways, by pressurizing candidate, checking his analytical abilities, checking general knowledge & may be with small intelligence math questions etc. (TA/DA is paid to candidates)
Quote:
*Final Medical at CMB (Masroor Air Base) Karachi.
-A person immediately after the interview comes to know about the status & one who clears receives a call letter to Combined Medical Board (CMB) Masroor Air Base Karachi. They assign you a date on which you have to report there. Complete Medical tests including X-Rays, ECG, Blood tests etc. & checking each & every part of body by specialists (dental surgeon, ENT specialist etc.). A detailed & very tough medical is done there in about 4-5 days. After complete medical examination, at the end of that CMB, candidates come to know about their medical result. Forms of clear, not-clear & referral are given to the candidates respectively.
(Residence is provided by them at CMB. TA/DA is paid to candidates).
Just remember that a candidate cleared from CMB is not confirmed for selection.
After this complete process of selection, complete results are sent to AHQ Peshawar where final selection is done & candidates selected are called.

Do ask me frankly if anything else you want to ask.

Yes, you are very right that Intelligence Test just needs time management & nothing else. Most of the questions are so easy & remaining are little more time consuming but not difficult at all. Time always remains short & more questions are left if time management is not done well.

Infact, when going for ISSB first time, we have only theoretical knowledge & other's experience about ISSB. Somethings we try to do more efficiently but things got wrong while trying to do things artificially.
I have analyzed much & found these:
-One main factor is luck that one can be lucky much to clear ISSB. One can be unlucky to be NOT RECOMMENDED but you know that it is not impossible to clear ISSB. I think you can do it very easily this time insha ALLAH.
Just make it at your best & insha ALLAH it will be best.
-Just do all the tasks at your best.
-Show GTOs that you are working hard.
-Try not to do it artificially by showing efficiency as GTOs are so experienced ones and they can judge you easily.
-Be original in your views. Over efficiency can make it bad.

When one goes second time, then he/she already knows all the procedures, & also know well that at last time on which factors he was lacking??? & he/she makes it better when going for the second time
&&&&&
this is the main reason why a person going second time for ISSB has more chances for second interview & to be RECOMMENDED.

Feel free to ask anything else.

Never think about that the GTO is observing you. Just simply concentrate on your activities, try to show interest in them and be natural!

This is the key to success!
