How much time do they take for Medical and security clearance etc?

It is clearly mentioned at point V of important notes in the advertisement, which is reproduced below.

"v. Security Clearance / Medical Examination will be conducted for selected candidates"

It means after interview the list of selected candidates will be prepared and security clearance process of such candidates will be made before issuance of offer letter? If so, how many time it will take to complete the security clearance process?

Anybody please come up with solid information.

Security clearance is just a police report by a police official of your respective police station that candidate is not involved in any criminal activity presently or in past. Its a single day process.

Police verification may be completed in single day but the security clearance process normally takes few weeks and more than one agency involve in this process. I hope NAB would complete this process soon as the official / officer gave signal for early result announcement.

my verification was conducted recently for another post by intelligence bureau and inspection branch of police.. i got calls from a private number 3 to 4 times.. and i was told that police officials would visit my native residence.. it took only 3 to 4 days for the completion of all this process..

Obviously it is a single day process, rather it hardly takes 5-10 mins because they only have to fill a form. But brother it's not so simple and straightforward. First the concern deptt makes correspondence with SPECIAL BRANCH deptt of police in your district through proper channel. Special branch has at least one week time for this clearance process. They verify your data from many sources i.e local police station, people from your neighbourhood, your previous organisation or institution etc. They even inquire about your political affiliation. (This is the procedure for a proper clearance otherwise most of the time they just chk the local police station and that's it). After completing the form the 'special branch' send it back to the concern deptt and even then if there is some ambiguity the whole procedure is revised.
So it minimally takes two weeks or more.

special branch has computerized system... it does not take days... local police verification normally takes 2-4 days

Official of a recruitment cell told me today that result will be announced after Eid.

No chance of result announcement before Eid.

Brother everybody doesn't live in islamabad or lahore. You must visit the special branch office in our district. They don't even have a computer, what to talk about computerised system.
