Never heard of this. Our department performed this exercise itself under orders of supreme court. But here we have become suspecious candidates.
You dont have to stay for HEC verification. Visit HEC and submit your degree with fee deposit slip. If you have right contacts and good persuasive skills, verification shouldn't take more than a couple of days. After verification, your degree will be sent to you via mail or you can opt to collect it from HEC yourself.
I tried to go through Regional office and courier route when I was asked by NTS to provide an Equivalence certificate for my foreign degree. after two weeks when I inquired about the progress, I was surprised that HEC had flagged my application with a objection for no obvious reason and didn't even inform me to clarify. I visited Islamabad and after having a chat with the concerned persons, applied for the certificate again. After 3 days certificate was delivered to me via mail.

what i can make of the NTS msg is simple
msg says " verified documents" only origional
docs can be verified...Photocopies are attested and
there is no such word of "Attestation" in the msg.
One thing more when you are producing verified
origional docs at the time of interview then whats the
point of hec attestation of photocopies.
Also to me only the following origional docs
require verification
1: SSC
2: HSSC
3:dEGREES only---- both Bachelor & Masters
Hence, just 4-docs require verification.

And the funny thing, One of my applications was rejected and as a result of second, I was awarded a certificate. But on des.hec, which according to HEC representatives is a very advanced system blah blah blah, both my applications are still active and status is "IN PROGRESS".

In the sms it is mentioned that we have to appear before "Departmental selection committee 1". What does it mean? Will there be any other selection committee as well or what? Any idea?

Sir! You had me worried about my attitude. lol. I normally don't use my contacts for these sorts of things but today I did, just to confirm if I really failed the psychological test. Well I passed the test. I was not selected for the next phase because I was too late to provide the certificate to NTS in time. tough luck

Maybe all of you luck lot is already selected for these positions. All they have to do now is to decide which department one should go in. By the way if they ask you where you want to go, ask for FCI or IC wing. These are the fun jobs.

Anyone please reply these queries:
1. Is there any difference in Attestation and Verification
2. Are the jobs on merit basis or we've to show our bank balance in Interview (some people are creating doubts regarding this)
3. If someone has not got his degree what should he do? Is attestation of result card is fine?
