Of course, it is a decent job and there is the charm of uniform that is lacking in the job of A/V Officer. In addition, they have a wide-ranging spectrum of duties. They have the power of prosecution and are empowered to enforce law by curbing smuggling though land, air or sea.

Nawazish Bhai, You shouldn't say that one job is better than the other. The choice depends upon one's preferences. Every govt agency has its own mandate. ASF is way better, now, than it used to be in the past; specially, after the up-gradation as well as due to Major General being its DG which earlier used to be a Brigadier.
