Posting is not a problem. You can request for posting in your desired city or province. Salary is 45k excluding house allowance including double salary pkg. House allowance will be provided in cases of big cities that is 14k. In Anti smuggling UNit you will be provided official residence, a vego and constables for patrolling duty while no such facility is given in stations.

Inspector Customs is a Bps-16 Job. Yes salary is comparatively good due to double pay scheme, rest its very tough to get good field posting on merit. No official residence and official vehicle.

official residence is provided on every station in ASU

A.o.A please help me out... as you are working in customs FBR... m working as inspector Excise narcotics... and recently selected as preventive officer and inspector customs as well... point is that m preparing for CSS and home city job is blessing... so I wana know should I go for either post ? if yes then kindly specify which post would be better..thankyou in advance

Customs inspector is a better job. Preventive officer is only Karachi based job

Preventive ki postings out of Punjab hee hongi apki. Mostly Karachi and may be in future gawadr too.

Whereas in customs inspector u will be posted in ur own province most probably. If ur district has a customs office u can get a posting there too. This is not the case in preventive .

Customs inspector can be transferred in intelligence deptt of the customs. There he's got some powers whereas preventive has no intelligence based functions.

Customs inspector has more recognition than preventive officer in society.

Apart from that both of these jobs are better than your existing job. So go for customs inspector in my view.

thanks a lot for your reply.... koi safarish krwa k posting lani phary gi ya chances are good for posting in Lahore anywhere in customs...? and your posting these days.? is it hectic or relaxed job in relation to preparation for CSS

You will get a posting in Lahore for customs inspector. There are higher chances. Whereas, preventive officer is only a Karachi based job.

One of my friends has also been appointed for both in these recent waiting lists if you want to talk to him I can ask him to contact you.
