For now I'm preparing from educators guide book, although it's not enough for lecturer test but it may help a bit.

I solved thousands of mcq's online.like I separated each era starting from 1400 AD.Then 1500 then 1600 so on and I prepared each author n their all major works n their dates of publication.I noted them down in a register.I noted down all the characters of shakespear from Falstaff to portia and ariel etc etc...and I dont believe I left out any author from any era.It was a tremendous effort on my part.Basically I loved what i was doing. As far as 30 marks paper is concerned.I read a book of B.ed though i had no B.ed.but I think I was clearly clueless about 30 marks paper.so i circled the option which i thought was appropriate. And I think I nailed it.
Do read about all the literature related fiction poetry n noble prizes in literature.plus fictitious author names used by great authors especially bronte sisters etc..there are active n passive voice direct indirect prepositions n correction as well.

P.S.start from Beowulf.

Can u please tell title of B.ed book and publisher? In syllabus it's celarly written 16 to 20th century literature, so should I start from 16th Century? Or should I include, Greek, Middle English literature?

It was a B.ed book from AIOU.I just went through it.Dont remember its name.
Basically the most important literature was produced during 16th and 20th.But I will advice you to start from Beowulf the first epic in english literature published around 10th century maybe. So from 10th to 14th AD just read important authors and their works. Then from 15th to 20th read each and every author and especially their publication dates.Greek and roman literature has great influence on english literature.read important authors like Homer virgil and horace and their important works and their most important gods n godesses just to be on safe side. They will only take a page or two.Set aside french influence though.
