"Lessons learnt from life"….. just write your "own experiences" not "stories". While answering questionnaire in psycho session, be relaxed. Show exactly what you are. Don’t conceal anything neither give fake facts or show qualities you don’t possess. Answer frankly.

While making sentences using displayed words, Never stick to a sentence, you will miss the next. And dont worry at all if you miss any word, go on to next. Make simple and shorter sentences as time is just 11 sec. (1 sec you spend when looking word on screen)

stories...........give short description, dont work on ideas which demand lengthy description. Even half page story works well if it has proper climax and end.

In sentence completion and sentence making and stories.....although they are not checking your english but make such sentences that they can understand your point of view easily.

In group discussion, be logical, precise, comprehensive and concise. Don’t loose your confidence. Speak politely and clearly.Keep eye contact with others . Dont speak too much on a single aspect (say role of parents) that your time ends and you may not speak on other aspects. Dont leave any aspect untouched, it is necessary that you follow the topic and speak on every aspect whether it is a line or so. I took initiative to start open discussion and I noticed that one evaluator immediately mark it on his sheet. You “must” participate in open discussion but sensible and relevant speech! Do not speak ( without any logic and sense) just to increase your speaking time.


If you have clear concepts (just basic, not very deep) of your field, you need not to worry in interview. Be confident. You have abilities and show it to your panel.

Not necessary. Even for junior scientist,sometimes they conduct just test and interview, no group discussion and no psychological tests as my seniors' experience. But this time it was there. In my call letter, all program was clearly mentioned with time ie when is psycho test,when tea break,when presentation,lunch,group discussion etc. If your letter doesnt carry such info, and it is one day program,and letter calls only for interview then obviously you will not pass through these screening processes.

It was also highlighted in a slide. Basic pay was written as 26000 or so. Question was raised about residential allownces, he said it is 17000 aprox. It could not be cleared whether 17k is included in 45k or it is seperate...According to my info, these are old salaries one or two years before.People appointed last year (sps 8) receiving 55000+ this time.

I'm appointed as lecturer physics last month by PPSC and my pay is 44000+. I always heard that sps scale differs BPS 17 by 15000 aprox. Allah knows better.

Promotion process is smooth in PAEC. After 5 years you will be promoted to SPS 9 and after 7 years to sps 10,after 10 years sps 11,after 8 yrs to sps 12
