All Dears, please share questions of Cypher Assistant Test which was held on 15-06-2014. As I have to appear in the same on 21-06-2014. I want to know about the question of General Knowledge that which type of question was?Seniors please help.

Test was divided in two sections. One of objective and 2nd was subjective.
1.Objective Portion:-Marks 50
This portion was comprised on 50 questions from c.a affairs,P.A, Islamiat, EDS like when WTO was formed? which country is comprised on islands? the planet visible from earth? biggest planet? Who was the first caliph of banu ummayh? head quarter of nokia?
2. Subjective Portion :- Marks 50
i. Essay Writing:- (20)
There were given three topics:
(A) I am the master of my own fate.
(B) Implications of US withdrawal from Afghanistan.
(C) Education in Pakistan: Key issues

ii. Precise writing + title (16+4)
the paragraph for precise writing was given from an article on south Asia. It was about the development of china because of reforms introduced in different fields of life.

iii. Pairs of words (10)
Total five pair words were given to use in sentence.

Note: You will be instructed to encircle the right option in MCQs portion on the same sheet. For subjective you will be given a separate sheet containing 11 pages. length of essay will be demanded not exceeding 350 words. So better to keep last page for precise and pair of words . Time will be running short and still major portion of paper unfinished. So better to manage your time.

Objective questions were 25, mark of these 25 question were 50

Easy topic which were given to me were different
- Kashmir issue
- water crisis in Pakistan
- didn't remember 3rd topic

Paragraph given to me was also different, it was about the Election Process and elections of 11th May last year and the reforms in the election process like Electric voting Machine.

hmmm so there is possibility that they given different papers at different times. mine was from 9 to 1030 am in Islamabad.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs have sent these posts to NTS. Now NTS is taking the exams of the same candidate who have appeared last time in the test . You can download your roll no slip from the nts website. List of candidate is given on website. 10th of August is the test date.

Dear Usman! Is this the second test?? Or the 1st written test which was taken on 15th June is re-held?? If candidates are short-listed and now its 2nd test then where is the list of candidates initially selected in written test(held on 15june)??? Please elaborate...

Those who have taken the test of Cypher assistant are called for the 2nd test for which only 158 candidate have qualified, but those who applied for the posts of LDC and Steno are called without such discrimination.... and subsequently for LDCs and Sten's this cannot be said as 2nd but 1st and the only test....
Check the difference of call letters' wording
For Cypher Assistants they said:
"NOTE: Please refer to your application to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the post of Cypher Assistant, and subsequent written test conducted by the Ministry."....... and there is no need to pay 550 rs.

for LDC and Steno they say:
NOTE: Please Online bank deposit Rs. 550/- (non-refundable/ non-transferable) as test fee in the online branches of ABL, UBL, MCB or HBL. Bring the Original deposit slip (NTS Copy) with you to the test center on the test day. Other wise you will not be allowed to sit in the test.

NOTE: Please refer to you application to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the post of Stenotypist/LDC, against their advertisement appeared in the newspapers on 25 May 2014.

i have recieved message from nts that test for the post of ldc is postponed due to current law and order situation..has ony one else recieved this?

Thank you Aawan!! But where is the list of those 158 selected candidates. How can i see them?? I haven't found Cypher assistant result anywhere on the web. Kindly share the link from where i could see that list of 158candidates. I dont know yet whether i am short-listed or not... Please share the cypher assstt result link.
