Shortlisting is not only made on merit. There are multiple reasons. Though some unusual. When the numbrt of candidates is More they do shortlisting but as I stated earlier this is not the only reason. I along with some others A and SD branch were not shortlisted in the previous course probably due to more number of candidates.

Can we conclude that, the candidates who are called for second interview are most probably going to get the job.. Or they still have that "two candidates per seat" thing...??

There are many who didn't get the call for panel interview after clearing cmb. & what basis they shortlisted the candidates is the overall merit 2 candidates against 1 seat. Now the panel may consist from 4 to 8 members heading by AVM. Most important phase of this recruitment. AVM & psychologists remarks will play very important role.

Obviously they are most probably to get the job as the chances are reduced to 50 50 now.
