and graduate course is permanent commission whereas (D)SSC is not as its name suggests (extendible and convertible though)

You seem knowledgeable on the subject, i have one more query related to medical eligibility. My right canine is still a baby tooth (i.e Deciduous tooth, it never fell out) so am i going to be rejected for this reason?
hahahha.No

KAMB Wednesday, June 10, 2015 05:55 PM

in DSSC,promotion is much slow...max officers get retired upto major rank.
in PMA long course or graduate course promotions are regular.
DSSC......ISSB:
Only individual task is missing.remainder is all the same as those of PMA-LC aspirants.
If cleared then 99.9% chances are to be selected after final technical interview.
guys let's talk about the paper,, I've applied in both PAF and Army for Electrical Engineering..
well IQ is fine,, what should we study for academic in this one??
does anyone have any idea regarding that?
PAF:
Subject Part mostly covers all the syllabus of engineering(core) and seems to be little bit tough or more..:D
PAk Army:
Technical part is easy.Average aspirants get crossed easily.
however numbers in this matters much for further shortlisting like ISSB.

i am not able to open the link.
thanks a lot for taking the time to reply in detail, JazakAllah. One more query, when should i expect the ditch crossing test? is it in ISSB? because the pdf document does not say anything about it
ditch crossing is a part of initial physical in PMA long course but not a part of SSC physical test.In ISSB ditch crossing(long jump) is a part of individual tasks for both PMA and SSC.

but @KAMB just said that individual tasks are not required in ISSB for SSC, so will i have to cross the ditch or not? because there are two different opinions now :D

btw i have already started running. Today i ran 350m in 2mins (at this speed i can clear the 1.6km run) but currently my stamina is not so good. I could push myself to may be 500m that's it i guess. I hope it will get better...
oh and my throat gets very dry due to breathing while running.

Do you guys have any other recommendations to practice physical test?

ISSB is same for every post of army, air force and navy.
No difference at all and you will have to cross the ditch which is not difficult or i must say that it is the easiest task.
initial physical is not difficult, just try to build stamina and also try chin-ups

Guardian Wednesday, June 10, 2015 09:49 PM

^ weirdly enough, i never had problem doing chin-ups. Its easiest for me, sit-ups are fine too the only thing that bothers me is push-ups but i am sure with practice physical is not a problem. Thank your for the comments

1.6 km Run in 9 Minutes.
Push ups, 10 Repetitions in 2 Minutes.
Sit ups, 10 Repetitions in 2 Minutes.
Chin ups, 2 Repetitions in 2 Minutes.

from what i have found, first they make you do the 1.6km run. Then after 15-20mins they make you do the rest of physical exercises so a good stamina is needed
