Whether one has to get only 50+ marks in the descriptive test to qualify and proceed for the psychological test or
Fpsc will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in the descriptive test.

For interview FPSC pre selects candidates with 1:5 for open merit seats and 1:3 for provincial quota seats. For example if there are 2 open merit seats then 10 will be against those and 28 are quota seats for which 84 will be pre selected. It will be 94 in total unless some candidates get equal marks, in that case the figure may be slightly higher. Now if more than 94 candidates pass in this test then there will be merit list from which top 94 will be pre selected. For the purpose of that merit both papers i.e. MCQs paper (already taken) and this subjective paper will be included.

Score of the Descriptive test will not matter in the next stage.
50 plus marks however, will push you to the next phase.
Marks of the descriptive test have nothing to do with the final merit.

Brother, kindly avoid speculations. For this case, the exams comprises 400 marks. 100 for MCQs paper, 100 for the subjective paper and 200 for interview. Every mark counts in the merit. For other single paper based posts there are 300 marks in total.

This will be 300 marks exam. 100 for MCQS and 200 for Interview.

I asked him to send me this policy in written format. As soon as i get it, i will post it here.

Brother, that will be yeoman's service if you procure the photos of that policy. The doubts will be clarified. I talked to a senior AD, FPSC at his mobile number to confirm it, though I had little doubt. However, I wanted to ascertain it. Now let us see if you prove the contrary or not.
Moreover, he told that they are giving this subjective test to 240 plus 10 rejected candidates only. Remaining ones from 300 who submitted documents have been dropped.

Brother @SABIR BASHEER please share anything you know about the essay.
I am preparing for CSS essay but you know it differs in marks and word count and for that case we have to amend out techniques like unity, cohesion and all. I am really confused about this essay.. what should be techniques to write it..

You should write this essay following the same pattern and same techniques. However, include more important points and leave the less important ones in this essay to manage in less number of words. You will be asked to write an essay of around 1000 words. The elements of unity, coherence and balance/proportion are essential in every type of essay.
