Yup and what about that "if an offer is not received in a month" thing.

Are we now suppose to write some sort of a letter?
If anyone has some credible info please share.

candidates from Sindh received calls from IB officials today for verification. anyone from Punjab received? i didnt

Verification means security clearance of an officer by the agencies. In this particular case some officials of the agency will visit every officers place and verify about his/her chararcter i.e. affilition with any religious or political outfit. It may include face to face meeting with officials or an officer may be called for vetification.

In last batch it took almost 2 months for joining after the declaration of final result. this time the time span would be probably the same. So expect joining in the mid of august.

brother i know what verification means what i was confused about was this that why are FGO officials calling the selected candidates. what do they ask? Hello, tell us about your character??

He was just asked about name, father name, degree, NIC etc. No character related questions. The one calling was a sub inspector IB of that area. I haven't received any call yet.

They will ask about your particulars only. Rest they will verify from their sources. They are only concerned with any criminal record or affilition with some extremist outfit.
Being a recommended officer of the same department the officials will give you respect and the whole process will be smooth and a pleasant one. (Unless one has some criminal record )
