Well the strange thing about verification process in Pakistan is that they wholly rely on the information provided by the candidates or his/her family members. They ask you stupid questions like "Do you have links with any banned organization" , Oh, Yes , I was head of TTP, I mean what is this?

They are suppose to conduct surreptitious investigation about candidates background, Government pay those inspector from IB, almost double as compared to other departments, but they are not honest with their jobs, This is also a kind of corruption.
An inspector IB, during my verification, called me, introduced himself and then requested me to call him, before we finish, he told me to save his number, whenever he miscall me, i am suppose to call him for the required information (that was a request as well). That happened for the next 3 days. I mean what a shame, There is some self respect, Govt pays him for this, and he is not willing to use the phone credit provided by Govt to him. These kind of people have disgraced this organization.

I hope the new AD's will try to make sure that their subordinates do not use these cheap tactics.

And then, Those inspectors are Chipkoo as well, they will take your personal number and make your life hell for long time. (especially when you are in police department)

Have you been recommended for IB?

I have heard that they visit the different places of station mentioned in the security clearance form of a candidate. First, they visit the candidate's residence and get direct information from his/her family. Next, they do indirect investigation/confirmation on their own as well. In my case, an IB official visited my previous university as well to gather information (indirect information gathering). Since I still have friends over there, so I got to know about that. I hope this was helpful for the candidates. Good luck!
