Some Basic Questions About AD-IB

Dear Senior Members A.O.A.,

I am Owais I did my MBA Finance (from Karachi). Senior members are requested to reply the following questions please give me the answers in detail (Particullarly for AD-IB) I will be very thankful.

1. What is the selection procedure of IB for the post of AD in the manner of the test like 200 marks single paper for General Knowledge, English, Maths MCQ's or change.

2. When the jobs posted in the news papers for AD-IB for 2008.

3. What is the criteria Age, Qualification.

4. What books you recommended for the preparation of test because I am willing to appear in 2008 for AD IB exams.

5. How much time it takes in the selection procedure of the agencies i.e. from test to final selection. What will you advise for the preparation of AD-IB 2008.

6. What are the physical standard for the medical test.

I will be highly obliged, please do answer my queries.

My very first suggestion wd b to concentrate on the preparation of css, and all other competitive exams will be as a by-product…
A.D(I.B) posts are advertised irregularly...but if you remain engaged with this web-site u ll dfntly get information about it....My guess is that it ll take at least a year from now for next advertisement...
In Previous batch adv. came in Nov 2005(last date was 26 Dec 2005) test was conducted on 25.03.2006 ,,,,,,AND interviews held in Jan-February 2007 and result came on 15 June 2007....so it took nearly 19 months for Whole process of selection....
This year ad. came in April and test was conducted on 28 june 2007 ..Result of written test was announced on 11 September 2007 and interview are yet to be started.....My guess ....as per previous pattern says that it may start after Dec 2007...
Now ELIGIBILITY===>
ANY Pakistani with a second class Masters degree and less than 30 years of age,,,
Usually 6000 to 7000 people apply for this post...(I think the MAIN reason for such a high No. of applications is that this is the only single paper test conducted by FPSC where any body who has a second div Masters in any discipline is eligible and so people do apply 4 the same.

Test Pattern====>
Test is of 100 MCQ's of 100 Marks to be completed in 100 minutes. Answers are to be given on computerized OMR sheet....
Paper is set to include a wide spectrum of G.K…
English Vocabulary and Grammar 30-40 MCQ
Arithmetic words problems 20 MCQ
E.day science + Pak.Studies+world G.K(for example currencies, capitals ,famous books/authors etc etc) nearly 30 MCQ’s..

So my suggestion will be again to concentrate on CSS and u will be automatically got prepared for these type of tests….However fo English and Math ,,CARAVAN”S Aptitude Tests book is good…and for other G.K any GK book…like who is who…
