Can anyone (preferably a serving AD in IB) share what are the duties of AD IB?

AD IB is a Sarkari news reporter, 99% reports are copied from newspaper and journalists and send to IB headquarter monthly, which are presented to PM on monthly basis. These reports has discretional and optional nature.
Further more its a desk job, some people mistakenly took it as USA FBI, remember, IB has no arrest powers, it can't prosecute anyone, It has no influence in Police, except when the oders are directly given by CM or PM after reliable intelligence reports from IB chief. But IB has complete control over cell phone tapping and has the latest technology of locating any sim card anywhere in Pakistan.
And, it 24/7 job, a tough one indeed.

Mere Veer Ap ka abhi wasta nai para kisi IB walay say .... Or na IB apni operational information kisi ko deti hay ...IB is a powerful intelligence agency For Instace IB kept Osama Bin Laden and Punjab Govt Allegated that IB tried to topple their Govt how a Reporter can do this ??? Agar app nahi jantay to bay bunyad batain mat karain .. Police ka kya hay they are just *****

Well, your language depicts that you are ignorant down to earth.I won't argue anything here, but I had been in police and prison department for 2 years, we had to deal daily with intelligence and law enforcement agencies. and we all know exactly , who topple governments in Pakistan.

Bro ! As a Sub-Inspector what kind of interaction you had with Intelligence Agencies ??? And if you had any interaction so am sure on the other side there would be corporals of Agencies (GD-05 or GD-09 Maximum) ... And as everyone knows that Sub-Inspector Police do not perform leading Roles , They are just ordered to perform any Task... Yes they performs independent Inquiries but that are of Petty Nature ( Theft , Domestic Disputes etc ) ... And am not arguing with you because its just wastage of time But am trying to Protect Image of An Agency for the Betterment of new Aspirants .... So Relax and save your Calories
