If only 26 pass then it is a deciding time for fpsc and the departments to think that 40k-50k candidates applied for 30 seats and fpsc is unable to recommend 30 suitable candidates out of 40k candidates. Better for departments to switch to other testing services like nts etc.

I must add that you are right that around 30k to 40k candidates apply in exams. Usually this is the count for posts of such kind of departments. But about 75% of the total candidates appear in exams and more than half of them are non serious candidates without preparation. Specifically talking about AD IB desriptive paper, we shouldnt ignore the factors that: two papers of css are combined in one paper so the time management is a major decisive factor. Secondly passing marks are 50 rather than 40 which is another factor of low count of successful candidates.
Lastly, as per my information, result will be uploaded on Monday or Tuesday.

fine minimum 15k were serious candidates only , even then there shouldn't be any difficulty for fpsc. secondly you can't compare CSS exam with this test, CSS tests are way too difficult. finally ,last time more than 70% candidates passed the ad descriptive test, don't know what is the policy of fpsc this. ad mod posts were announced Jan this year through nts and there final selection is almost done and fpsc after 365 days is unable to declare descriptive test result yet.

How one can confirm and trust the news when part of the news has been proved to be wrong so for the result announcement date is concerned i.e 9th september?. Let's wait.

As per info, the result file has yet to be signed by the chairman but 26 candidates qualifying descriptive test is a sure. There were speculations that those 26 are of category B, C and D but it now it is a bad news that 26 is for all categories
