Depends on your nature and aptitude. In my personal opinion, both are good, however the working environment and structure may differ. Apparently, Job Nature of MoD is more diverse and challenging than IB but both are loaded with good pay package, Perks and privileges. Personally, I prefer MoD over IB, because the organizational structure, environment and facilities are more strengthened and developed than IB. Therefore, keeping in view the civil-military relation factor, If you are survivalist and determined to achieve progressive career growth, on the basis of your outstanding performance then MoD otherwise IB is better for civilian.

P.S: My opinion is based on my personal preference and it means no disrespect to any of the department. Both are highly respected and challenging jobs.

Security clearance may take at least 2 months. Medical will be conducted after security clearance for finally selected candidates only, at the time of joining, and will be intimated through appointment letter. This time recruitment process is speedy, so if MoD want to do it at earliest then it is matter of no time. It depends on the training schedule decided by MoD. Lets suppose, If it is scheduled in December, then we will receive final appointment letters in November, even if the security clearance get completed in August.

hey thank you. by the way my acquaintance in ISI ( deputy director was inducted as AD) says those who received the letters are final and also that 3 months will take upto the offering of job through appointment letter.so lets see

SVA are not sent only to AD cadre but to all the cadres. and if I am not wrong, there are more than 200 vacancies announced by MoD and it includes 15 for Sindh(U) in total

Hey all ,
People were of the view that last year the selection process was slow yet their training started in late august. This year the process got bit speedy yet the SVA form as per say would take three months :O I was thinking of leaving the second attempt of CSS ( if the training starts in late august ) . Now it seems I will be preparing for CSS again !

Can anyone confirm or has any information regarding when is the training going to start this year? By the month of October,November or is it December....?? At least after knowing the month.... the wait would have somewhat a limit .

Are you absolutely sure of this?
