Everything I studied during my life, including CSS, helped me to sail through these tests. In MoD, it is more about your skills and presentation than the knowledge. I appeared twice for the said post and each time, the examination pattern was different. point by point you can categorize as:

1. MCQ paper: last time this paper was comprised of GK, Pak affairs, IT, Current Affairs, Mass communication, IR, Math, Islamiat and Reasoning type questions. for this you can consult Carvan GK mcqz by Ch. Ahmed Najeeb.

2. Current affairs paper: there were 5 questions and believe me almost all the candidates had knowledge about 2 questions only but we attempted all 5, in a way like we knew everything about it. Its like psychological assessment. In your writings, you should show your passion and positivity. for descriptive info, you can buy the latest upcoming AD MoD guide by Rai mansoor of Ilmi publishers.

3. English Essay: it should also be attempted like current affairs strategy... and it involves simple Essay writing techniques and skills.

Besides, read dawn on daily basis and try to develop your own analytical opinion. you can visit these threads on CSSforum for better understanding.

For Maths and Reasoning, I never practised reasoning questions, for math I once prepared from GMAT and GRE. The concepts always served me good.
