Someone from Lahore center told following questions related to current affairs in the interview.

Pak relations with India, China and America (3 separate questions)
Human Rights
Performance of present government

First question is usually being asked about your introduction and a separate question on your family background.

One question might be related to your merits and demerits or something else from your psychological assessment.

Interview is normally of 8 to 10 minutes.

I don't know what has happened to members' helping morale. A number of members are appearing in these interviews almost everyday, yet there are no details to guide those who are still waiting for interviews or who are looking forward to apply next time.

Perhaps I can relate, it wasn't so previously. Like after IB exams we had the question paper here after a few hours of written test.

Default Okay..here's the help.

I just don't want to disclose somethings here because we were also "taken into account" in our unawareness and that's the beauty of the process. General pattern of the interview:

1. Introduce yourself.
2. A question on any striking fact in your (personal / academic / professional) data / info. you already sumbitted to them.
3. Cross-questioning. (only if your answers are interesting, appealing and engaging the panel)
4. A question on your family - (must)
5. More than one questions on your last degree / field of education and / or current affairs. (Only if the above 3 met with satisfactory answers to the expectations of the panel; hence, please mind that if they close the interview prior to asking questions on your academics / family or current affairs thereby limiting the interview to the first 2 or merely 3 questions; I am afraid you messed up somewhere).
6. If you clear the five questions the panel may probe about your current job - your approach and solutions to the given problem in the field of your native expertise.

Real Help:

1. Remember, first two (02) questions are asked to assess your conversation / English communication skills, composure, confidence and word-delivery cum efficacy.

That is, if you are unable to convince them on your communication skills / composure they may conclude by saying, "Thank you (your name)".

2. Remember, they'll give you a deliberate drill on current affairs / last degree and THEY KNOW that on some certain questions you will "stutter"

2. Remember, they'll give you a deliberate drill on current affairs / last degree and THEY KNOW that on some certain questions you will "stutter" and that's where the REAL TEST begins! My friends - mind it - BE GENUINE. It happens that when you are asked a question that you don't know an answer of and you want to perform really well...you start concocting (making up stories) but here please remember if your stories are anything but truth, it straight away means "FAULTY INTEL".

Means: When underpressure or in a situation you will tend to LIE on matters concering the national security and of high importance. This is what they want to figure out.

So, be sure what ever you say is close to the REALITY if not the actual reality. If you do not have any idea - tell them that you are sorry or any other suitable sentence for your inability to answer because of lack of knowledge.

Be Genuine.

They want to see:

1. Whether you tend to LIE or concoct STORIES when not knowing anything?
2. How do you behave when continuously "cornered"?
3. How do you react on provoking questions one-after-another resulting in an "I am sorry" answer by you.
4. How do you keep your composure in tough situations?

Also remember:

Your KNOWLEDGE has been tested in Written Test.
Your Intelligenc and Psychie have been tested in Psycho-intel Test.

This time it's your Personality, Leadership, Veracity, Composure and Confidence inline with the job requirements.

Prepare the topics as per your last degree.
India-Pak-Iran-US relations, economic issues, latest developments etc.

Be calm and Cool

Hadith-e-Qudsi: "The Good that Allah wants to dispense to you; nobody can thwart / block / stop it and the good that Allah has thwarted / blocked / stopped from you, noone else could give you back but Allah Himself".

So why worry?
Have Faith in Allah!
