It consist of two papers at same day
first paper MCQ,s type just like test of Assistant director IB test which consist of General Knowledge little bit every day science,Pak Affairs,Islamiat,and remaining English and maths
second paper consist of Current affairs but one have to write one question on one page both sides
Books
Jahangir encyclopedia of general Knowledge,GAT Genral maths and English ,and for current affairs study Dawn news paper and jahangir world times
Inshallah it will be enough

These AD ISI and other posts are in limbo after new government...Number of vacanies are being discussed and debated in MoD and ISI and no final fate has been decided about these vacancies.In fact chances for shelving all these vacancies is on table.So,just pray that everything gets sorted out otherwise there would be no test at all.My Source : A Serving Major in ISI told me himself.

Brother can you please inform the members about any possible vacancies to be announced by the MoD for whole of the Pakistan. As these mentioned positions were announced only for Balochistan candidates. Kindly share any authentic information you may have. Thanks very much

'Posts are in Limbo after new government'. Strange! I though this organisation had nothing to do with a civilian government.They are autonomous. Jo agency civilian government ko report tak na kare woh un ki ministry ke kehne pe posts abolish karde gi.

Dear don't feel strange as we all know that the de facto power is with armed forces and her sister agencies but in matters of recruitment ( purely on merit ) hierarchy works diligently and MOD i.e parent department of ISI issue orders that is under the government of the day.So,the point is : no need to be paranoid.Just wait and see whether i am right or wrong.

any update? i think the test was held yesterday in islamabad and majority of candidates failed to appeared in it. it is published in Jang quetta today's edition
